shots each of which is reduced in power as the pressure in the
air tube is reduced. In contrast, each shot of the MAC35 is
consistent since the cartridges are filled to the same pressure.
A SCUBA tank quickly fills the MAC in seconds via
a supplied quick-fit adapter. The MACs can each be filled
from 2000 psi to 4250 depending on the users desired power
requirement. Once charged with air, a bullet is pushed into
the neck of the cartridge and it’s ready for use.
How does the MAC work? The valve stem is internal
to the MAC and visually looks like
the primer on a centerfire cartridge.
Once cocked and loaded, pulling the
trigger, releases the hammer moving
the equivalent of a firing pin forward
to hit the release valve (valve stem) to
expose the exhaust holes in the MAC that
allows the compressed air to be released
propelling the bullet out of the barrel.
Tip: How do you know if the MAC is filled with HPA?
Simply press on the release valve with your finger nail. If the
release valve moves into the MAC, then it’s empty. If there
were even a few PSI in the MAC, the release valve would not
move.

During our brief time with the pre-production
MAC35, I mentioned to Artie Claudino of Lexington Air
Guns that we had something different in to review. After a
few hours of trigger time together, I asked Artie “What do
you think?”. His reply was “I want one!”. A few days later, I
mentioned the MAC35 to Luke Clayton, our hunting editor
and he was very excited about the possibilities it offers to
hunting with big bore airguns.
I’d have to agree with Inovairtech’s slogans on their
web site that read “We didn’t invent Airgun technology,
we perfected it...” And “At last - the rifle you have always
dreamed of.”. The MAC35 is truly remarkable.
The cartridges fill via SCUBA tank with quick-fit adapter.
