Gordon is an airgun enthusiast and collector
living in Colorado with his wife of 40 years, Yvonne.
They are proud grandparents of a 6 year old
granddaughter. Gordon began his lifelong infatuaƟon
with airguns similarly to probably a number of the
readers of this publicaƟon, as a kid with his trusty
Daisy BB rifle.
Being a born Ɵnkerer and interested in how
things were put together and worked, he enjoyed
and excelled at the “manual” arts in high school and
college. Earning a BA in EducaƟon, Gordon started
his career teaching Industrial Arts in both the junior
high and high school levels. AŌer eight years of public
school teaching he changed direcƟon and pursued an
interest in computers and soŌware that eventually
led to an opening with a large soŌware company in
Denver. That company was eventually purchased
by Oracle CorporaƟon where Gordon is currently
employed full-Ɵme.
Gordon has been a contributor to Airgun
Hobbyist since 2009 and is our Field Editor covering
things of interest to airgunners that take place “Out
West”. He also does freelance work for Harris and
Source Interlink Media publicaƟons. His background
leads Gordon toward delivering arƟcles of a more
technical style and depth, while imparƟng to the
reader his enjoyment in all things airgun.
When asked where he sees airgunning over the
next 10 years he says: “The technical innovaƟon and
high quality products seen in this industry are truly
phenomenal and very exciƟng to see. That trend will
conƟnue only as long as you and I as individuals help
introduce youth to the pleasures we remember when
properly taught to shoot our first airgun. AddiƟonally,
join like-minded people and exercise your right to
vote while supporƟng organizaƟons that protect and
defend our freedoms to enjoy the shooƟng sports. Get
involved.”
